This is the season of Pumpkin Spice and everything nice, including Fall fashion trends! Fall is all about cozy days, pumpkins, apples, and football. Walks through the fallen leaves with the bright blue sky overhead in the crisp air. Just thinking about it is comforting.
Along with a new season comes new fashion trends. Sometimes trends can seem unrealistic for us real women who live real lives. In this blog, I have narrowed it down to what I believe are the most wearable Fall fashion trends for women this season.

Wearable Fall Fashion Trends
The relaxed-fit blazer
Blazers are a fashion staple. They are always chic, always cool, and always classic. This season fashion has taken this classic piece and given it just enough of a twist to make it trendy. I think most of us have a relaxed-fit blazer in our wardrobe. So pull it out and see how many outfits you can create with it and other clothes in your wardrobe. The thing about blazers is that they are incredibly versatile. That is what makes them, in my option, one of the most wearable Fall Fashion Trends. They look just as good with a pair of jeans as they look with a dress or dress pants. A T-shirt and jeans are a bit of a drab outfit but throw on a blazer and suddenly you look chic. You can find great options at H&M & Nordstrom if you don’t happen to have one hanging around in your closet.
Oversized Button Front Shirts
Nothing is as classic as a white button-down shirt. It’s a basic in almost every capsule wardrobe. This season the spin is to have it be a little oversized. You can stick to classic white or you can go for color or pinstripe. Talbots has some great options this season. Check them out here. This item pairs great with our next trend -the sweater vest.
The Sweater Vest
The sweater vest is a great transition piece since it can generally be worn alone in warmer weather or layered over shirts in cooler weather. The button-down shirt looks fabulous under a good sweater vest. These can also be dressed up for the office or dressed down for a low-key but presentable weekend look.
Flare Leg Jeans
Can you believe they’re back!? I mean we know that fashion is a revolving industry—today’s trends will be trendy again in a matter of years. But I feel like it was just yesterday I was packing away my flare-leg jeans in favor of the skinny jean. I have to admit skinny jeans still have my heart. It’s been rough packing them away as I have purchased wider-leg jeans in their place. In any case, dig out your flare-leg jeans ladies because they are hot again.
Wide Leg Pants

I have to admit when these first became popular again I was skeptical, but I have to say the relaxed fit of the latest styles is certainly more comfortable to wear for us curvy girls. They have won me over.
Lug Soles

Lug soles can be a little intimidating if you are not used to wearing them, but there are some very wearable ones out there. Loafers are also a hot trend this season so finding a nice pair of loafers that have a lug sole is a win-win as far as fashion games go this Fall. I am actually trying them out on a new pair of booties I bought from Nordstrom (above).
Color
Some of the hot colors this season are lava red and pink. I was surprised by this since I don’t typically think of either of these as Fall colors, but every girly vibe in me is loving it! I think the deep shade of red is flattering for most all skin tones. It’s vibrant and alive and beautiful. Pink is always a favorite although not usually in my Fall wardrobe. However, there are so many shades of pink available now that it’s possible to find a pink that anyone feels comfortable in. These two flattering colors are very wearable Fall Fashion Trends.
Another trending color is deep caramel—almost brown. This color is more of an iconically Autumn color. It gives me vibes of crunchy Fall leaves having fallen from the trees. Warm apple cider and maple candy. A chunky sweater or classic wool coat looks great in this color.
Puff sleeves or ruffle details
This one has been around for a while and doesn’t seem to be leaving this season. There are plenty of options for this from barely-there flutter sleeves to all-out girly frills and lace. If you are on a budget or like me you try to keep your wardrobe very scaled down, choose a basic like a white T-shirt with a detail like puff sleeves. That way you are trendy but because it’s a basic it will work in your wardrobe year round. This is an easy wearable Fall Fashion trend.
The shacket

Although I haven’t seen anyone raving about these from fashion week, here in the rural US the Shacket is still having a moment. I picked one up during the Nordstrom sale this year and I can’t wait to wear it. It’s the perfect jacket for a breezy Fall day here in Maine watching my grandkids play sports.
Don’t forget the hat

Hat’s complete an outfit. A fedora-style hat always looks good during the Fall Season. Anytime you can combine great style with sun protection it’s a win-win!
Honorable Mentions
There are a lot of other trends that work great in a wardrobe as well. Above are the ones I think are the most wearable, but below are some items that are definitely on trend this fall season if you can work them into your wardrobe.
-Bomber Jackets
-Power Suits
-Trench Coats
-Faux Leather
Make sure that you have a solid core wardrobe and then try mixing in some of these trends for a style that’s all your own. Whatever you wear my friends, wear it with confidence!
