The Inkey list is a combination of two things I love–skin care and low prices. Here is an Inkey List review of five products that I have used and my honest opinion of them. I’m going to go in order from the product I like the most (and in fact, I continually repurchase) to the product I like the least.
1. Q10 Serum

Holding the number one spot on my list- and also a place in my heart- is The Inkey List’s Q10 Serum. So why do I love it? Well, let us begin with the fact that it’s only $8.49 on their website and then move on to the fact that they nailed the consistency. It’s a light sort of gel serum that goes on very nicely. My face always feels good when I wear this product. Bouncy and moisturized.
Q10 is an antioxidant serum. This means that it helps protect your skin from free radicals and environmental stress. You probably hear about the benefits of antioxidants all the time in relation to topical Vitamin C. This serum is much gentler and hydrating (in my experience) than any Vitamin C Serum. In fact, if you are someone who struggles with sensitivity to Vitamin C I highly recommend giving Q10 a try. I have very sensitive, reactive, acne-prone skin (I know, I’m super lucky) and I have never had a single bad reaction to this product.
Per the Inkey List website this formula also has a dual peptide and squalane so for those of us looking to age well this is a benefit.
Affordable, check. Moisturizing, check. Effective, check. Pleasant to use, check.
Do I recommend it–you bet!
2. Oat Cleansing Balm

This is a product I enjoy, although it’s not one of the best cleansing balms I’ve tried. It’s a very gentle product that effectively melts your makeup and sunscreen and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. During the months I was using this product I used it as a first cleanse in the evening. I do love the way my skin feels when I use it.
It is made with Oat Kernal Oil and Colloidal Oatmeal. These ingredients are known to help with moisturization, irritation and inflammation of the skin.
I would say the thing I didn’t enjoy as much about using this was that it was so thick. It’s almost paste-like. You have to work to squeeze it out as the tube gets low with the product. You also have to work it well in your hands to spread it easily over your face. That being said, at just $10.99 on the Inkey List website, I feel its strengths outweigh its challenges.
3. Caffeine Eye Cream
![](https://i0.wp.com/agingwellwithjoy.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/1.png?resize=261%2C391&ssl=1)
The Inkey List Website says it helps with puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines. It leaves my undereye area silky smooth for my makeup application, and although nothing is going to “depuff” the eye bags I have going on, I feel that it makes that area look better.
In addition to having caffeine, which is an antioxidant and helps with depuffing, it also contains Matrixil 3000 Peptide. A REALLY great ingredient for your skin. This is a good buy if you are looking for an eye cream for the morning that layers great with other products and under makeup.
4. Fulvic Acid Cleanser

Fulvic Acid is an antioxidant that also exfoliates the skin. It can help to brighten the complexion and is also anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. That’s a lot of good benefits from one ingredient.
The Inkey List’s Fulvic Acid Cleanser is formulated with Nordic Peat which is high in Fulvic Acid. It also contains Kakadu Plum which is high in Vitamin C, and Liquorice Root Extract which may help with hyperpigmentation.
It’s clearly full of good ingredients. The experience of using it would fall into the “sufficient” category. Which to me means it’s a no-nonsense product with good ingredients. It’s a very thin consistency and I was not able to get any lather out of it. I do prefer a richer cleanser for my everyday use but I did use this a couple of times a week in the shower. You do feel small pieces of the Pete Moss as you are cleansing. I did not mind it at all, but if you are bothered by texture I would pass on this one.
5. Retinol Eye Cream
Their Retinol Eye Cream has a slow-release Vitamin A derivative. Vitamin A stimulates collagen production which fights the signs of aging.
This product is light and comfortable to wear but it did not work for me at all. After a few nights of use, my under-eye area actually looked worse. Now, this is most certainly due to the drying effects of the Vitamin A derivative. However, I have used other eye creams with retinol that did not make this area look bad.
I think that a product like this needs to be formulated with hydrating and nourishing ingredients in order to work on aging skin. Younger skin might be able to use this product successfully, but if you are a middle-aged (or beyond) woman I would not recommend it.
The Inkey List Review Wrap Up
Overall, I have been happy with the products I have tried from the Inkey List. The products are straightforward and effective. Their website is easy to navigate and you are able to find a product to fit almost any skin concern you are looking to address. Their prices are fabulous.
Of the five products listed above I have repurchased both the Q10 Serum and the Oat Cleansing Balm on repeat and plan to keep these in rotation in my skin care routine. I still use the Caffeine Eye Cream in the mornings, and I will probably end up repurchasing the Fulvic Acid Cleanser at some point.
I hope that you found this review helpful. If you have any products from the Inkey List that you love and recommend please let us know in the comments.
Happy Skin Care!
